Data protection means securing the data in transit or at rest. You can use SSL/TLS to secure the data in transit, whereas, you can use client-side or server-side encryption to secure the data at rest.

Amazon S3 provides server-side and client-side encryption to keep your data secure. In this post, we will explore the encryption types in short with some illustrations to help to understand.
